There are a few gambling dens in the state, most on docked barges. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is available 24 hours, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 slot machines, 36 table games, and four dining rooms. There are numerous other dominant Iowa gambling halls, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slots, and 39 table games.

A tinier Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a riverboat gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend water based, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. Another Iowa river based casino, The Isle of Capri, is open 24 hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot river boat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 one armed bandits, 14 table games, live shows, and Thursday 21 matches.

Iowa casinos present an excellent deal of tax revenue to the commonwealth of Iowa, which has allowed the funding of many state wide activities. Tourism has gotten bigger at an accelerated percentage along with the request for companies and a growth in working people. Iowa gambling halls have been helpful to the expansion of the market, and the enthusiasm for betting in Iowa is across the board.
