Cambodia Casinos

There is a captivating story to the Cambodia gambling halls that lie just across the border from nearby Thailand, where gambling hall gambling is prohibited. Eight gambling halls are based in a relatively tiny area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent spot, a three to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal income acquired from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to more than 12.5 million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is assumed to be largely Thai; still, investment sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 09:00 to 1700, and despite the fact visas are allegedly necessary to cross, there are ways around this, as is true of most borders.

The original Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only a single gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored boat gambling den, contains one hundred and fifty slot machine games and sixty gaming tables. The Naga casino never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of 21, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon followed. A total of 150 slot machines and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred slot machines and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and 96 table games, including 87 punto banco (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and 66 of the normal table games, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight casinos in Poipet, again a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slots and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around vacation and hotel compound that contains numerous conveniences accompanying the gambling den, which contains 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slots and 88 table games.
